FREQUENT QUESTIONS
ANSWERS BEFORE A SITE REVIEW.
Direct answers about FOG recovery, model fit, installation and maintenance.
COMMON QUESTIONS
THE DETAILS THAT MATTER.
What is FOG?
Fats, oils and grease. Food-processing wastewater may also carry food particles and settled solids.
Who should consider FOG KING?
Our first focus is industrial cooking and oven runoff with identifiable grease-bearing discharge. Other commercial and food-processing applications can be reviewed individually.
How does the system work?
FOG KING uses screening and passive hydrostatic separation to help collect solids and separated grease near the source. Effectiveness depends on the stream and installation.
Does FOG KING eliminate the need for a grease interceptor?
Not automatically. Downstream pretreatment and discharge requirements vary by location. A facility must comply with applicable regulations and the relevant authority’s requirements.
Does the separation system have moving parts?
The hydrostatic separation approach itself is passive and does not rely on a moving mechanical skimmer. Confirm the current configuration and any installation accessories for the specific model.
How often is maintenance required?
A daily operator routine is the starting concept. Actual frequency depends on grease, solids and water volumes and must follow current service instructions.
How should I choose between FK40, FK70 and FK80?
Begin with verified operating flow, temperature, loading and site constraints. Request current product specifications and availability; do not select by model number alone.
Is a specific FOG recovery percentage guaranteed?
No general percentage should be assumed. Results must be supported by relevant test data and the specific process conditions.
What do you need for an Oven Runoff Review?
An oven or equipment make/model, the products being cooked, approximate discharge conditions, site location and ideally photos or a sketch.
Do you supply installation guidance?
We can discuss what information is needed to plan a fit. Qualified installation and applicable plumbing and wastewater requirements remain essential.
